I edited the news for The Caterer's weekly magazine, morning newsletter and thecaterer.com, covering hotels, restaurants, foodservice, pubs and bars.
I also chaired webinars and awards judging, supported with social media, wrote interior design features, book reviews, and did plenty of proofreading and editing.

Freelance digital editorial assistant, Gurgle.com
I was responsible for gurgle.com, the website for pregnancy, baby and toddler magazine Gurgle, and all its social media platforms. This started as planning, writing, commissioning and uploading content to the website.
I expanded this role to include writing a monthly feature for the magazine and boosted social engagement through social media giveaways, competitions and Q&As.

I studied English Literature for four years, starting with Medieval and Renaissance and working my way through the Epics, Shakespeare, the Age of Enlightenment, the Romantics and the Victorians.

I also touched on modern Irish and Scottish literature, American poetry, European theatre and Arabic literature along the way.

At university I was deputy editor of Warwick's student newspaper The Boar, I ran with the cross-country club and spent the remainder of my time learning how to use a DSLR with PhotoSoc.

In my third year I spent two semesters at the Freie Universität Berlin where I studied in both German and English.
